Poetry isn't always about being the most elegant speaker, or being the most articulate person. It's about expressing how I feel in a particular moment in time. It's a memory, an impression of my life, not caring whether or not it rhymed or flowed beautifully on the pages. Our thoughts, hopes, dreams, emotions, spilled out and expressed through pen and ink. I write how I feel, even if it's about something stupid and insignificant, even if I know no one else in the entire world knows what I'm talking about. Because, I am always writing. At work, at home, when I'm out. Writing has gotten me through some difficult moments in my life and I think it's kept me sane for the most part. It boils down to, my mind never stops thinking and my heart never stops feeling. The pen and paper allow me to express emotions or thoughts in which, I sometimes due to specific situations can't express or voice. It's just a creative outlet, but I'm glad there are some people who find my poetry enjoyable to read.
Some of my poetry is very well-written, and other times it's just mindless dribble. I want to thank everyone that I have ever came across in my lifetime thus far. Be them, my enemies or my friends, you’ve all inspired in me to write and help me grow as a person.
